The Palacio dos Leoes is the palace of the Maranhão governor, but a small part is open to guided tours. No need to book - just show up. Worth a visit. Full review by Thomas C

Sao Luis has such vivid colours, nice colorful streets. Reminds of Lisbon in Portugal. We stayed 2 days and traveled from here on the Route of Emotions. Full review by oliviapY1170RK
