The deal transfers ownership of a portfolio spanning 4,400 copyrights and hit songs including Sabrina Carpenter’s Taste, Espresso, and Feather.

Sony Music Publishing acquired Hipgnosis Songs Group, with hits by Sabrina Carpenter and more, months after it rebranded as Recognition Music Group.

The arrangement is said to include 4,400 rights from Sabrina Carpenter, Blake Mills, My Morning Jacket, Alex Warren, St. Vincent, and more.

Sony Music Publishing is reportedly in the process of acquiring Hipgnosis Songs Group, according to sources close to the matter. Emails obtained by Billboard and multiple sources close to the situation have confirmed that Sony Music Publishing is acquiring Hipgnosis Songs Group.
