President Donald Trump is traveling to central Texas on Friday to survey the aftermath of a catastrophic flood that has killed more than 100 people and put his administration on the sudden defensive over its emergency response efforts.

US President Donald Trump was set to visit Texas on Friday as questions mounted over the response to flash floods that have left at least 120 people dead, including dozens of children.FEMA began its response to the Texas flash floods over the weekend after Trump signed a major disaster declaration to release federal resources.

Officials in Texas are facing mounting questions about whether they did enough to get people out of harm’s way before a flash flood swept down the Guadalupe River and killed more than 100 people, including at least 27 children and counselors at an all-girls Christian camp.

A Texas official said no person has been rescued alive from flood damage since Friday. This comes as the number of people missing remains above 150 and as questions remain about the emergency alerts preceding the catastrophic event.

The Texas flash floods death toll rose to 119 on Wednesday, as worries grew that the figure could more than double with over 160 people still reported missing.
