Kade Anderson's masterclass performance lifts the Tigers, advances to winner's bracket in College World Series.

• The Razorbacks will play a fourth Missouri Valley Conference program in the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas has an all-time postseason record of 5-4 against Wichita State, 3-4 against Missouri State and 1-0 against Creighton with those teams in the MVC. Wichita State and Creighton are now in other leagues.

LSU baseball began its College World Series with a 4-1 victory over Arkansas on Saturday. The Tigers are well-positioned in the winners' bracket, while Arkansas will be forced to climb out of the losers' bracket. With the victory, the Tigers advance to play UCLA on Monday at 6 p.m. CT at Charles Schwab Field. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN.

LSU left-hander Kade Anderson's masterclass performance on Saturday night at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha (Neb.) lifted the Tigers to a 4-1 College World Series win over Arkansas. Anderson fired 7.0 innings of work with seven strikeouts while limiting the Razorbacks to one run during his time on the bump.

LSU is participating in its 20th College World Series and is just the seventh school in NCAA history to make 20 CWS appearances. LSU is the only school in the nation with 20 CWS berths in the past 40 seasons.
