President Donald Trump signaled Monday that the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran was intensifying rapidly, announcing he would return to Washington a day early from the Group of 7 summit in Canada to monitor developments after issuing an ominous warning to Iranians to “immediately evacuate” their capital city.

Canada’s leader Mark Carney formally opens the G7 summit saying the meeting falls at “one of those turning points in history.”

U.S. President Donald Trump participated in a meeting of the G7 in Canada on Monday that had a wide range of pressing issues including the Israel-Iran conflict and trade He and counterparts from Europe and Japan,

Trump and Zelenskyy are expected to meet during a Group of Seven summit for advanced economies that's taking place in a remote area of Canada.

Also looming over the meeting are President Trump's inflammatory threats to make Canada the 51st state and take over Greenland.

President Trump's upcoming week is expected to include addressing the Israel-Iran conflict, attending the G7 summit in Canada and responding to nationwide anti-ICE protests.

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung departed for Canada on Monday to attend the Group of Seven summit, his first overseas engagement since taking office earlier this month.
