South Carolina leaders are rallying around the Charleston International Airport and its staff amid allegations of wrongdoing by U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Sixty-one leaders have signed a joint statement in support of the Charleston International Airport. The statement follows last week’s incident at the airport involving U.S. Representative, and candidate for SC governor, Nancy Mace.

A day after U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) said repeated security lapses at the Charleston International Airport were to blame for an alleged confrontation with security officers last week, another South Carolina politician who regularly uses the airport is defending his experience with airport staff.
