Head coach Marco Sturm provided an update on Charlie McAvoy on Monday after the Bruins star took a puck to the face against the Canadiens.

They might be in first place, but Marco Sturm's Bruins squad suffered two more injuries in Saturday's win over the Canadiens.

A redirected shot on a Montreal power play jumped up and hit Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy in the face. Players on both teams motioned to the Boston bench, and medical staff came onto the ice in a hurry. The Bruins announced that McAvoy wouldn’t return early in the third period.
