The first wave of snow is forecast to start Thursday afternoon in Colorado’s mountains and continue overnight, spreading into the Front Range, Eastern Plains and metro area.

Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories will be in place Thursday and Friday as some mountain areas can expect around 20" of snow.

A potent series of storms is hammering much of the West, with Whistler in BC eyeing especially big totals approaching or exceeding 2+ feet—but snow densities will vary, so expect pockets of heavier, more wind-affected conditions.
