One person is dead, and another was severely wounded in a shooting Tuesday evening on the east side of Columbus.

Two people are dead after a shooting on Columbus’ east side Tuesday night. Officers responded to a call of a shooting at approximately 9:46 p.m. on the 1200 block of Carolwood Avenue, according to a Columbus police dispatcher.

Monroe Brown, 48, of the city's South Side, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:28 a.m. Friday on Columbus' East Side.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to the 1200 block of Carolwood Avenue, off of East Livingston Avenue, around 9:45 p.m.
