The Chief Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death a homicide after remains were found in Edgecomb last Tuesday.

A homicide investigation is underway after a Virginia man was found shot to death in Maine, state police said.

EDGECOMB (WGME) -- Maine State Police says the body of a man was found Tuesday morning in Edgecomb. Police say the body was discovered around 9:30 a.m. by a hunter near the Schmid Land Preserve on Old County Road. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central is investigating the death.
