Though it's common for second-year players to partake in Summer League, Jared McCain was left off the Sixers' roster. He continues to work behind the scenes to rehab the season-ending knee injury he suffered last year. While he might not be playing in games, McCain is still in Las Vegas getting work in with the team.

VJ Edgecombe was scoreless in the first half but dropped 15 points and stuffed the stat sheet in the second half to lead the Sixers over the Wizards in Vegas.

NBA Summer League in Las Vegas continued on Tuesday with a handful of exciting rookies in action. Philadelphia 76ers No. 3 overall pick VJ Edgecombe made his debut in Las Vegas, while New Orleans Pelicans' Derik Queen faced Portland Trail Blazers' Yang Hansen.

According to the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting on Geddie Avenue in Princeville, where they located a victim. The victim was taken to Vidant Edgecombe Hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

During a Las Vegas podcast appearance, 76ers HC Nick Nurse raved about how VJ Edgecombe could translate his explosive game to the NBA level.
