The Worcester County District Attorney's office has identified the child as Ezra Millard, of Leominster. It happened just after 6 p.m. near the supermarket on Sack Boulevard in Leominster.

The child who was hit was taken to Leominster Hospital and died a short time later. The Worcester District Attorney's Office identified the victim as 13-year-old Ezra Millard, a Leominster resident.

Ezra Millard attended the Sky View Middle School. Leominster’s Superintendent of Schools said grief counselors are available for students.
