Team India secured a thrilling win thanks to Shubman Gill’s stellar 87. Chasing a modest target of 249, both Indian openers were dismissed early. Shreyas Iyer then unleashed a fiery assault, scoring 59 off 36 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes. After Iyer’s dismissal, Axar Patel joined Gill to form a strong partnership and take India to victory.

Virat also has an excellent record against England’s key bowlers for this series, averaging 36 against Adil Rashid in both ODIs (108/3) and T20Is (72/2) whilst the speedsters Mark Wood and Jofra Archer have combined to dismiss him just once for 157 runs conceded in either format.
