Matt Boldy ended up giving the Wild the lead which was followed by a Marcus Johansson empty net goal with under a minute left. The Wild walked away with a 6-4 win over the Blues in a game where Middleton made a strong impact in his first game back.

Faber left the game with what the team called an upper-body injury and didn’t return.

The Wild announced that they have activated defenseman Jake Middleton from the Long-Term Injured Reserve and reassigned forwards Travis Boyd and Brendan Gaunce and defenseman Carson Lambos to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
