As expected, the San Francisco 49ers have officially released defensive tackles Javon Hargrave and Maliek Collins. General manager John Lynch outlined the Hargrave in January.

Maliek Collins was acquired via trade by the 49ers last offseason. After only one season in San Francisco, though, the veteran defensive tackle will be on the move this spring.

Though the signing was reported as a two-year agreement, the Browns often use void deals to backload contracts and spread out cap hits. The team entered the week with about $13 million in available cap space, but Myles Garrett’s agreed-upon mega-extension had not yet been officially processed as of Wednesday afternoon.
