He has proven his toughness by returning from a serious injury after a three-game absence to lead the Wildcats to a gritty road win over Cincinnati. Then he gave K-State four points, nine rebounds and five assists in a losing effort against Iowa State.

Curtis Jones scored 24 points as No. 10 Iowa State avenged an early-season home loss to Kansas State with a 73-57 win on Senior Day in Manhattan, Kan. The Cyclones never trailed.

No. 10 Iowa State travels to Kansas State in Big 12 play Saturday. Saturday's game will be the second meeting this season between the two teams.
