iOS 26.2 is the next anticipated Apple software update, expected to be released at some point this month. Among the new features mentioned by MacRumors and Forbes for 26.2 are the ability to set an alarm for reminders, see lyrics in Apple Music offline, and new features for AirDrop and CarPlay.
Tap on the lock screen clock, and you’re able to switch between Glass (Liquid Glass) and Solid (no transparency). Even if you keep Liquid Glass in place, you get a slider underneath the color and font options, which lets you adjust the transparency of the effect. When you’re happy with how it looks, tap outside the pop-up dialog, then tap Done.
Apple is about to release an update for every iPhone that can run iOS 26, for users who don’t want it. And it’s probably the last chance to avoid iOS 26.

You can now tone down Liquid Glass on iPhone
Apple’s glossy “Liquid Glass” look has gone from futuristic flex to everyday reality on the iPhone, and not everyone loves how intense it can feel on the lock screen and widgets. With iOS 26.1, I can finally dial that effect back instead of living with a default that sometimes prioritizes spectacle over comfort.
Apple today released iOS 26.2, iPadOS 26.2, and macOS 26.2, all of which introduce new features, bug fixes, and security improvements. Apple says that the updates address over 20 vulnerabilities, including two bugs that are known to have been actively exploited.
