Jerseys worn by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in the first NBA games of their careers are expected to sell for millions of dollars when they go up for auction this spring.

NBA debut jerseys for Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant will hit the auction block through Sotheby’s. The two jerseys are being sold individually, but the auction house estimates that the two jerseys could sell for a combined $20 million or more.

Sotheby's is hosting its latest unique sports auction. The auction house unveiled on Thursday the sale of NBA legends Michael Jordan's and Kobe Bryant's first game-worn jerseys, from the former's time at the Chicago Bulls and the latter's at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Michael Jordan didn't hesitate when asked to pick between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James on who is the superior player. Jordan is widely deemed to be the greatest NBA player of all time, with six championships to his name with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990's.

Fans of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant have seen them as faces of the NBA for a long time, always comparing newer stars to them. This had former player Channing Frye believe they are killing the league due to their ongoing nostalgia.

"It was a challenge because of the hype," Jordan said after the Bulls' 104-83 victory, per the Los Angeles Times. "But as a challenge, you try not to get carried away with the hype, not try to make it a one-on-one challenge with him.
