A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Southeast Michigan until 8 p.m. Thursday. Heat index values or feel-like temperatures have reached at least 100 degrees in most communities and could reach as high as 105 degrees.

A heat advisory is in effect for Metro Detroit today with temperatures expected to climb into the 90s. There's also a chance for storms and strong winds in the late afternoon and evening. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. for the entire southeast Michigan region, the weather service said.
