Over 7,000 metal fans have signed a petition to rename Birmingham International Airport after Ozzy Osbourne following the musician’s death.

Steven Tyler and Ozzy Osbourne played together just weeks ago at a farewell concert for Osbourne in Birmingham, England.

Tony Iommi, Black Sabbath guitarist and co-founder, told UK broadcaster ITV that Osbourne was “frustrated” during the band’s farewell concert on July 5. The heavy metal icon died less than three weeks later, on July 22, at age 76.

His death came just weeks after his final live performance, where he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates.
