Rafael Devers just might be the Boston Red Sox's Opening Day DH after all. Earlier this spring, Devers said he considers himself a third baseman and would not move to DH in deference to Alex Bregman, the superior defender. On Thursday, Devers walked back those comments, and said he would be OK with being the DH on Opening Day.

Devers said he spoke to chief baseball officer Craig Breslow and manager Alex Cora a few weeks ago about his feelings and ultimately decided to follow their lead.

Rafael Devers told reporters Thursday that he's "good to do whatever" the Boston Red Sox want him to do, an indication that he's willing to move away from third base and serve as the team's designated hitter this season.
