A man named Rahmanullah Lakanwal from Afghanistan has so far been identified as the sole suspect in the Washington DC shooting this week. US authorities have since disclosed to American media that the 29-year-old male took aim at two National Guard members near the White House on Wednesday (US time).
Rahmanullah Lakanwal is being investigated as a possible terrorist suspect, according to a news release from the department. The Nov. 26 attack a short distance from the White House left both the National Guard members in critical condition, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.
