The Swans are hoping to go five games unbeaten for the first time under Luke Williams, but face a stern test against a Black Cats side currently sitting fourth in the table.

Gonçalo Franco, Ronald and Žan Vipotnik all return to the Swansea City starting line-up to face Sunderland. The trio were among the substitutes at Plymouth Argyle in the week, but returns in place of Jay Fulton, Jisung Eom and Florian Bianchini respectively.
