A winter storm system is expected to intensify Saturday morning, bringing steady snow showers and creating potentially hazardous travel conditions across Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Winter storm warnings and advisories extended from Montana to Ohio, the National Weather Service said. Forecasters warned there could be airport delays and slowed traffic with snow falling at more than an inch per hour in some areas.
The big rivalry game weekend has arrived. The Michigan Wolverines are playing those other guys from down south, known as the Ohio State Buckeyes. Kickoff at the Big House is scheduled for noon, just before snow is expected to start at 1 p.m. in Ann Arbor, according to the National Weather Service in White Lake.

A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 10:23 a.m. EST in effect until 7 p.m. EST for Mason, Lake, Osceola, Oceana, Newaygo and Mecosta counties.
