While "College GameDay" was not shown on YouTube TV, Pat McAfee, who has excited college football fans since joining the show as an analyst in 2022, streamed the entire three-hour broadcast on his X account.
On Tuesday, ESPN's Pat McAfee addressed the situation and had a message for some his big-name coworkers who have shared videos on social media talking about the dispute and how fans can go to a website so they "don't miss any" action.
While referring to videos posted last week by ESPN hosts urging fans to visit KeepMyNetworks.com and send complaints to YouTube TV, McAfee urged his colleagues not to take their employer’s side.
Usually, ESPN announces the Monday Night Football ratings on Wednesday. This week, with YouTube TV customers prevented from watching Cardinals-Cowboys, ESPN may "forget" to post the numbers. The outage blacked out the Week 9 prime-time game for millions. And it will be interesting to see what the audience ultimately was.
Sports fans have been hurt by the standoff between Disney and YouTube TV, but they're partially responsible for this blackout.
