CHICAGO – Mason Lohrei, celebrating his 25th birthday, scored two goals to help the Boston Bruins win their sixth straight game, 5-2 against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Saturday. It was the defenseman’s first multigoal game in the NHL.
In the third period, Jeremy Swayman and Boston's defense stayed strong to preserve their one-goal lead. The Bruins limited Seattle's offensive chances with clean transitions into their offensive zone, and Swayman made key stops through the final 20 minutes.
Sweezey was called up by the Bruins on Jan. 16 on an emergency basis after Andrew Peeke exited Thursday’s win over the Seattle Kraken with a lower-body injury. He did not play Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks. A Hanson native, Sweezey has not played in an NHL game since the 2022-23 season when he was with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Boston Bruins were linked to Andersson, and were said to be in the “ driver’s seat ” by SportsNet’s Elliotte Friedman, who noted the Golden Knights were still in the running.
