Investigators are searching for whoever killed an 18-year-old and wounded three other people shortly after a high school graduation ceremony in California’s Bay Area.

A teenager was killed and three people wounded in a shooting following a California high school graduation ceremony Wednesday evening, according to authorities.

Mayor Alma Hernandez said that three people were shot at the Sem Yeto High School graduation taking place at Fairfield High School, but that has not been confirmed by police.

The hostage situation concluded following an FBI officer-involved shooting, police said. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
