Three-star defensive back Markez Davis has committed to LSU, giving Lane Kiffin his seventh commitment in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

The only new LSU-related information was on the Tigers’ Sept. 12 home game against Louisiana Tech. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m., with the game being shown on a streaming basis on SECNetwork+.

Three-star athlete Markez Davis announced his commitment to the Tigers via his social media pages Monday. Davis is the third prospect to pledge their verbal to LSU in the last 24 hours, joining five-star edge rusher KJ Green and three-star running back Brennan Lacy.

Davis is the third recruit LSU has added in the last two days, following three-star running back Brennan Lacey and four-star edge rusher KJ Green. The Tigers have seven commits in their 2027 class, three of whom are top-100 players in the nation.

With LSU's transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt, who was ranked No.1 in the 2026 recruiting cycle, and LA Tech's senior quarterback Trey Kukuk, there is a lot of talent on both offenses. The talent is just one differnt teams, some for the first time.
