A protest in downtown L.A. protest against the immigration policies of President Trump moved onto the 101 Freeway.

Officials detained about 200 demonstrators after dispersal orders Monday night, but issued warnings and released them.

Dozens of people waving mostly Mexican flags and some American flags while carrying pro-immigration signs gathered at City Hall in downtown Los Angeles before starting their march.

The large group, calling for a National Day of Action, could be seen through aerial footage walking in the middle of Spring Street, moving along to block an intersection at Chick Hearn Court and 11th Street all the while waving Mexico flags and carrying protest signs.
