Minnesota Twins star Byron Buxton was put on the 10-day injured list with left ribcage inflammation, per the team announcement. Buxton landed on the injured list yet again, something that has been very common in his MLB career.

The Twins fell to Boston Tuesday as Pierson Ohl made his major league debut, and Brooks Lee homered from both sides of the plate. But the team also lost centerfielder Byron Buxton to the injured list with a rib injury.

Buxton's injury further muddies Minnesota's status as buyers or sellers ahead of Thursday's MLB trade deadline as they remain within striking distance of the postseason.
