On Wednesday the storm will start as a mix of wet snow and freezing rain for areas north and west of D.C. but for most it will just be a cold rain. When you're shoveling your driveway and sidewalk, if you have a storm drain near your home, clear a pathway for the incoming rain to reduce the risk of street flooding!

The Washington, D.C. area is preparing for snow Tuesday afternoon that will continue into the night, potentially bringing significant accumulation to the region. FOX 5's Tucker Barnes says light snow expected in the early afternoon is not anticipated to stick.
