A power outage hit several regions of Indonesia’s resort island of Bali on Friday and efforts were underway to restore services to those affected, state utility Perusahaan Listrik Negara said.

BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — An unprecedented blackout across Spain and Portugal upended the lives of millions across the Iberian Peninsula, a stark reminder of modern society’s reliance on electricity, and how quickly life can descend into chaos when the grid goes down.

Power is slowly being restored after a massive blackout in Spain, Portugal and France. Officials say the cause is still a mystery, but that there is no evidence of a cyber attack.  NBC News’ Raf Sanchez reports.
