The Alexander Isak transfer saga took another twist on Wednesday as it emerged that the Sweden international had been instructed to report to Newcastle's training ground after the rest of his teammates had returned home.

Alexander Isak trained alone after being excluded from a family day at Newcastle on Wednesday and held showdown talks with manager Eddie Howe.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has reportedly banished Alexander Isak from the club's training after suggesting the Liverpool target had to "earn the right" to be involved.
