Boston Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet had a close call when a line drive skipped off his glove and nose on its way to second base for a groundout.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora provided an injury update on starting pitcher Garrett Crochet after a scary comebacker vs. the Minnesota Twins.

Pitching with no outs in the fourth inning, Garrett Crochet had Carlos Correa's 87 mph line drive clip him on the nose. That deflection off the nose was enough to knock the ball down for second baseman Kristian Campbell to make a play and throw out Correa at first.
