IMD issues red color warning for Odisha’s eight districts after Cyclone Montha intensifies
Speaking on Cyclone Montha, IMD Director Manorama Mohanty on Oct 28 warned of red alert in Odisha’s Ganjam, Gajpati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, and Kalahandi districts with heavy rain and strong winds.
Odisha has issued high alerts as a cyclonic storm is set to form over the Bay of Bengal by Monday. The IMD has warned of heavy rainfall, orange alerts, and thunderstorms across several districts.
