Shedeur Sanders got his first real chance on Friday night, making his NFL debut as the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in their preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers—despite being listed fourth on the depth chart.

The NFL got its first look at Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Friday night. In the team's preseason opener on the road against the Carolina Panthers, Sanders received the start due to injuries being nursed by Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.

Richardson’s preseason performance was an impressive one. He finished with three tackles, a tackle for loss and a sack. Richardson was not the only Aggie to bring down Sanders. In the second quarter, defensive end Nic Scourton got to the quarterback with Hall-of-Fame genes.
