The search is being carried out by a cybercrime unit in relation to an investigation opened in January 2025, the Paris Prosecutor's Office said.

French prosecutors said on Tuesday they were widening an investigation into Elon Musk's social media platform X and that they have summoned the tech billionaire for questioning in April.

The prosecutor’s cybercrime unit is conducting the raid, it said in a statement, with Europol also involved.
