The quilters of the Sundahl Lutheran Church made 240 quilts this winter for newcomers to the community, baby shower gifts, benefits, local missions, homeless shelters and Lutheran World Relief.

“We make quilts for veterans that have been touched by war,” says Pat Graham, the group leader of the Quilt Guild of East Texas' Quilts for Valor.

“These quilts are a way to wrap our suicide survivors in the love and support of this community,” said Wiliam Reynolds, Suicide Prevention Program coordinator.
