A tense video emerged of an ICE arrest in Worcester, Massachusetts, being disrupted by crowd who police said was trying to block a vehicle from leaving.
All Central Massachusetts municipalities saw their estimated populations increase. Statewide, sixty-one communities lost population year over year. The biggest loss, both in terms of raw total and percent change, was Concord, whose population shrunk 181 people or roughly 1%.
Police said officers were there to deescalate the situation, but bystanders said they couldn’t tell whether cops were protecting the public or the agents.
Overall, at least 518 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Tuesday, including six in Springfield, 14 in Worcester and 44 in Boston.
