According to The Athletic, Vrabel wanted Cowden — the Titans’ interim GM in 2022 — to take over for ex-Titans GM Jon Robinson, who had just been fired. Vrabel fought hard for Cowden to “maintain continuity,” but Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk “wanted to go in a new direction.”
