Utah comes into a matchup with Toronto after losing 10 straight road games. Friday's matchup is the first this season for the teams.

Walker Kessler had a go-ahead dunk with 9.7 seconds left to help the Utah Jazz beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 117-116, snapping a six-game losing streak in the series.

Kessler is the third player to go 10-for-10 from the floor in an NBA game this season, joining the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Jarrett Allen and the Chicago Bulls’ Mata Buzelis. Allen was 10-for-10 in a 135-116 victory over the Washington Wizards on Oct. 26, and Buzelis went 10-for-10 in a 133-124 victory over the Miami Heat on Feb. 4.

On Wednesday, it was another long injury report for the Utah Jazz. Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson and Walker Kessler all missed the contest in the nation's capital. Even Keyonte George joined the seemingly ever-growing list — though the reason (illness) was likely more legitimate.

Finishing this matchup in the nation's capital with a final score of 125-122, the Jazz have closed the gap to the bottom spot and most favorable position in the NBA Draft Lottery. Though the odds of securing the top pick are identical through positions one, two, and three, each spot's worst-case scenario becomes worse as you go down the line.
