The Chicago Blackhawks just continue to lose in 2024-25, the latest a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Utah Hockey Club on Tuesday night. And veteran defenseman Seth Jones didn’t hold back after yet another disappointing outcome.

The Utah Hockey Club (28-25-9) visits the Chicago Blackhawks (19-35-8) at United Center in the third meeting of the season between the two Central Division Rivals. After a 4-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings last night, Utah has now won four of its last five games and is just three points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Utah Hockey club is trading the contract of retired defenseman Shea Weber to the Blackhawks, per Brogan Houston of Deseret News Sports. Chicago has also acquired the signing rights to defenseman Victor Söderström and right-wing prospect Aku Räty for taking on the final year-plus of Weber’s deal.

The Chicago Blackhawks made some moves on trade deadline day, but it is also noteworthy to look at the players that the team didn't trade. This includes Ryan Donato and Pat Maroon, both forwards whose names were out there.
