Cleveland Browns starting cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. may have a season-ending injury, as the defender had to be carted off the field during practice on Tuesday. While there is no confirmation that Emerson suffered a season-ending injury, updates indicate there is a seriousness to the injury.
The Cleveland Browns likely won’t have one of their top defensive backs in 2025 after suffering a potential Achilles tear
Martin Emerson did not finish practice for the Browns on Tuesday, being carted off, and it does not look like the young cornerback will be ready to return anytime soon.
The most significant of the bunch was Brown, who was shown leaving practice on a cart. Leaving on a cart is never a good sign, and now Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has offered a major update on the receiver's injury. When speaking to reporters, Reid stated, "I don't think it's too bad, but we'll see."
The Browns’ open quarterback competition has taken a turn. Kenny Pickett, one of the presumed frontrunners for the job, hurt his hamstring during Saturday’s practice and is expected to re-evaluate the injury later this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday.
