Laurel County Sheriff John Root confirmed to LEX 18 Wednesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is conducting an active investigation into the London Police Department.

The FBI is currently investigating the London Police Department, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has assumed primary sponsorship authority at the city-county emergency dispatch center.
