Jameis Winston was the third-string quarterback for the Giants for the first 10 weeks of the season and there's no guarantees that the 11-year veteran will keep finding jobs in the NFL, but he said on Wednesday that he "never thought about" the possibility that he'd played his final game.

It was announced Wednesday morning that interim head coach Mike Kafka named Jameis Winston the Giants’ QB2 behind Jaxson Dart. That means that if Dart doesn’t clear the concussion protocol by Sunday, Winston will be starting against the Green Bay Packers.

While other QBs might have grown frustrated on the bench, Winston embraced a philosophy of service that kept him sharp and ready when New York needed him most.
