The San Francisco 49ers go on the road and get the win over the New York Giants, 34-24. Mac Jones ended the game 19 of 24 (14 of 14 first half) for 235 yards passing and two touchdowns. Christian McCaffrey rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown, along with 67 receiving yards and a touchdown reception.
The NFL saw an offensive explosion among nine teams between Thursday and Sunday as at least 30 points were scored by the clubs in their matchups.
Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler completed a short pass to wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, who had the ball punched out by Buccaneers cornerback Jamel Dean when the wide receiver turned upfield. Antoine Winfield Jr. scooped the ball up and raced nearly 50 yards for what looked like a touchdown that would have given Tampa Bay a two-score lead.
The Sunday afternoon slate for Week 9 is headlined by two big AFC matchups with playoff implications. In the early afternoon window, it's two first-place teams facing off when the Indianapolis Colts (7-1) head to Pittsburgh (4-3) for a showdown with the Steelers.
The Cincinnati Bengals, who upset the Pittsburgh Steelers with a prime-time shootout back in Week 7, found themselves on the wrong end of a similarly high-scoring affair. The Drake Maye-led New England Patriots stayed hot to win their sixth game in eight weeks.
Dallas is also coming off a dominating win over Washington, 44-22. Dak Prescott passed for 264 yards and touchdowns with no turnovers. Running back Javonte Williams added 116 rushing yards with a touchdown, while CeeDee Lamb had five receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.
However, Cleveland Browns rookie Dylan Sampson is a viable boom-or-bust play in PPR leagues only. While Sampson is firmly behind starter Quinshon Judkins on the depth chart and often plays behind Jerome Ford as well, Cleveland may look to get him more reps coming out of the bye.
After diving into all 14 games on the NFL Week 9 schedule, Cohen likes the Steelers (+3, 50.5) to upset the Colts at home. Pittsburgh enters off two straight losses where they have surrendered more than 30 points, while Indianapolis has won four straight contests, having scored 31 points or more in each game.
