Sam Darnold's new jersey number with the Seahawks revealed
After Seattle traded away wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the number 14 suddenly became available for usage. Naturally, everyone sort of felt like that would eventually go to Darnold, who has worn No. 14 with all four previous teams he's played for in this league, as well as what he wore when he was the USC quarterback.
Seahawks Make Sam Darnold Announcement After $100.5 Million Deal
Sam Darnold, fresh off of a big 2024 NFL season with the Minnesota Vikings, ended up signing with Seattle on a three-year contract worth $100.5 million. During the 2024 season with the Vikings, Darnold threw for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He also completed 66.2% of his pass attempts.
