Slovakia on Friday banned a Georgian military volunteer who has been fighting in Ukraine and nine other people from entering the country, saying he was involved in an opposition plot to overthrow the government.

The police in Slovakia detained a Ukrainian citizen on Jan. 30 suspected of preparing a coup in the country, Slovak media Aktuality reported. The Ukrainian is being held in the border police office ahead of his deportation to Ukraine,

Slovakia plans to expel a Ukrainian from the country. The authorities claim he was involved in a planned coup in Slovakia. "This is a fictional character," says opposition MP Juraj Krupa. Other representatives of opposition groups express similar sentiments.
