Kyrie Irving tore the ACL in his left knee, a source close to Irving confirmed, an unfortunate ending to the nine-time All-Star’s 14th NBA season. Irving, who turns 33 on March 23, was having a strong season before this injury. He was averaging 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists.

Dallas likely will not contend for an NBA title in the short term, so offseason moves will be key to getting the franchise back on track.
