Nothing has just announced Essential Apps, which are user-created widgets that can be shared via the company's web platform.

Nothing’s Essential AI platform lets users create and share mobile apps just by describing ideas in natural language. They can also remix and share them freely.

These Essential Apps, available via a new platform called Playground, are the first steps toward 'a new kind of AI-native operating system,' Nothing says.

Nothing is making big promises about its AI future, with the eventual "Essential OS" being preceded by an AI app generator.
